The final round of the 2026 TrialGP Championship, held in Pobladura de las Regueras, marked a particularly important weekend for Montesa. In addition to officially unveiling the new Montesa 2027 range, the brand once again demonstrated its sporting leadership in the FIM Trial World Championship.
Toni Bou arrived at the event having already mathematically secured the 2026 TrialGP World Championship title in the penultimate round of the season. The Montesa Honda rider once again showcased his extraordinary competitive level, bringing to a close a historic season in which he reached the remarkable milestone of 20 consecutive years winning X-Trial and TrialGP world titles.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Marcelli completed an excellent weekend by finishing second overall in the championship standings and securing the TR1 World Championship runner-up position. Alex Canales also delivered a strong performance, ending the season in third place in the TR2 World Championship, while the Montesa Talent School riders competed for the first time with the new 2027 livery.
These results also enabled Montesa to secure the Constructors’ World Championship, increasing the brand’s tally to 87 world titles.
The presentation of the Montesa 2027 range in such a special setting reinforces the brand’s commitment to competing at the highest level and provides the perfect conclusion to a memorable season.
